So, it is January 22 already! Have you broken that resolution that seemed so attainable twenty-two days ago!? We reach for such lofty goals, that we set ourselves up for failure at the very start.
So, instead of "I will go on a diet for 6 months", (and you are off the diet in 6 days!), why not set a mini-goal? "I can make a commitment to stay on a sensible, nutritional weight loss plan for...a month." Nothing crazy, just yummy, sensible, nutritious food and watch the portions, portions, portions! Cut the sugar intake first, it is a miserable culprit, but the results are evident quickly...dropping the pounds!
Then there is the exercise. You can't do one without the other. But, don't start off by training for next month's marathon, when you get winded just walking from the car to the house! Start with walking 20 minutes a day. At the end of the 30 days, not only will you feel better, you will feel better about yourself, the pounds will start to disappear and the toning sets in.
