At the beginning of a New Year, we look for that line drawn in the sand, in the snow...or on the pavement! A line that signifies a starting point, a new beginning, a fresh start.
We want so badly to make changes in our lives and seem to always need that starting point.
Want to know a secret? Whatever month it is, whatever day, whatever time it is; that is the moment to start. Simply set reasonable short term goals, so when the Finish Line, that seemingly unattainable goal, sneaks up on you, you will have reached it a day at a time. You didn't get discouraged when things didn't go right and you didn't give up.
So, Bottom Line: Whether you are a runner, a teacher, a businessman or businesswoman, a dad, a mom...the journey through life is the same. It's who we put our trust in to guide us through the ups and the downs on the journey and the choices we make as we navigate that path...that determine our peace of mind, our feeling of self worth and our excitement for what our future holds.
My oldest son is a marathon runner, as are his wife, sister, brother and sister-in-law! Check his blog on Facebook when you need positive reinforcement ~ here is an example of what he writes to encourage his followers...
Happy New Year to Everyone!
